Distribution:
In India, it is found in Western Ghats and Northeast India.
Habitat:
· It is found in semi-evergreen forests, sacred groves, and scrub forests.

· The leaves, fruits, barks, and roots extracts showed antidiarrheal, antimicrobial and insecticidal, anti-inflammation, jaundice-relieving etc.
· The dried bark, roots, fruits, leaves of plant are ethnomedicinally used for the treatment of abdominal pain and diarrhoea, sore throat, damp-heat jaundice, fever, heat stroke, and is often served as general tonics and insecticides in traditional medicine.
· The light to medium-weight hardwood is used for cabinetwork.
