The bark, leaves, fruits, latex are very effective in treatment of diabetes, skin diseases, ulcers, dysentery, diarrhoea, stomach-ache, wounds, kidney disorders, malaria, haemorrhoids, venereal diseases and as astringent
Tree parts are analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, anti-microbial, diuretic, anti-parasitic, vermifuge, abortifacient, anti-ulcer, antioxidant, anti-cancer, have insecticidal and pesticidal properties
Leaves combined with lemon juice are used for treatment of respiratory tract infections such as asthma, bronchitis, tuberculosis and emphysema
